About Rondel
A Montréal bagel with an ear for the city, and an opinion about your weekend.
Where Rondel comes from
I’m Armin. I built Rondel with a few friends.
I came to Montréal to study AI, play music (violin, bass, and the Taar, a Persian instrument), and dance more. In 2023 I went to my first Jazzfest and I was the happiest person on earth. Before it started, I wasn’t. I didn’t want to miss out. I wanted to discover the culture of my new home and the music that travels here from everywhere.
I love studying how AI and design can help us make decisions, so I wrote my thesis on how AI can help us discover music.
What’s next
I built this for myself, but people around me kept asking to use it. So I cleaned it up and made it public before Jazzfest. I didn’t get time to add support for French into it yet, which is sad, because, of course, Montréal.
French is the first thing I will add, along with some other things that you may have seen. Ideally I could see this as a collaborative and social tool that brings more people together.

A quick disclaimer
Rondel is an independent, unofficial passion project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any festival, venue, artist, or organization mentioned here. All festival, event, and artist names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and Rondel claims no ownership or copyright over them.
Event details are gathered from public sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Nothing here is official. Always confirm anything important with the official source before you rely on it. Do not travel for 3 hours only to realize nothing is happening. I would feel very bad.
Rondel is provided as is, with no warranties of any kind, and is used entirely at your own discretion.
